This is a 46 year old woman who presents with an insecurity with her ears. Patient states from the time she was a little girl her ears always stuck out causing her various insecurities and always feeling that she had to wear her hair down to hide her ears. During consultation, Dr. Guarino addressed the problem of overgrown cartilage at the center of her ear. This overgrowth and loss of antihelical fold on both ears caused the ears to protrude. An Otoplasty was recommended. Dr. Guarino created a new antihelical fold, removing the excess concha from behind the ear, and the ears were pinned back. Patient was very pleased with outcome, giving her the confidence she lacked the majority of her life.
