Patient is a 46 year old female who desires a tummy tuck. During consultation it was noted, patient has 2 scars on her abdomen, from previous surgeries, one diagonal in the left upper abdomen and a midline scar. These scars give a red flag because a full tummy tuck is not an option. The scarring on the abdomen would cause a difficulties with healing, limiting full undermining of the skin, resulting in a modified abdominoplasty. This entails undermining up to the midline, versus the rib margin.
