This patient had Rectus Diastasis ( abdominal muscles that separated) and excess loose abdominal skin. In order to correct this, Dr Guarino recommended a tummy tuck.
Tumescent Liposuction was performed on the waist and traditional abdominal incision was made. The midline was then plicated (abdominal muscles were sutured back together). Plicating the abdominal muscles corrected the Rectus Diastasis. All excess skin was removed. Support garment was placed on the patient post surgery.
