Revision Of Painful Keloid Scar On The Abdomen*

This patient was suffering from a very painful and thick keloid scar of the abdomen. During the consultation it was determined that a scar revision surgery would be necessary to eliminate the keloid scar. Following surgery the patient needed to undergo superficial radiation treatments. The radiation stops the skin from over healing and producing excess scar tissue. The patients scar is no longer painful and is smooth and flat.
