5'2", 62-year-old female who weighed 172 pounds was seen for a large abdominal pannus. Patient was unhappy with fitting into clothing and the restrictions the heavy abdominal area presented.. After evaluation it was determined in order to achieve the best result the patient needed to loose weight. The patient's goal was to have surgery approximately 4 months after her initial visit. She was able to lose approximately 20 pounds through diet and exercise achieving her goal. She underwent excision of redundant abdominal skin and fat that ran around the entire body and was thrilled with her result!
